Grill Corn on the Cob: Simple Steps
Grilling corn on the cob is easy and delivers incredible smoky flavor. Here’s how to do it.
Method 1: Husk On
- Soak the corn: Submerge unhusked ears in water for at least 30 minutes. This prevents the husks from burning too quickly.
- Grill: Place soaked corn directly on a preheated grill (medium-high heat). Turn every 5-7 minutes.
- Cook: Grill for about 20-30 minutes, or until kernels are tender and slightly charred. The husks will be dark and smoky.
- Shuck and serve: Carefully remove the hot husks and silks. Serve immediately.
Method 2: Husk Off
- Prep the corn: Remove husks and silk. Brush kernels lightly with olive oil or melted butter.
- Season: Sprinkle with salt, pepper, or your favorite spice blend.
- Grill: Place corn directly on the grill grates over medium-high heat. Turn every 3-5 minutes.
- Cook: Grill for 10-15 minutes, until kernels are tender and have nice char marks. Brush with butter or seasonings as it cooks.
Enjoy your perfectly grilled corn!
