Quick & Easy Milkshake
Making a classic milkshake at home is surprisingly simple. The key is good quality ice cream and the right ratio of milk. For a perfect vanilla milkshake, start with about 2 cups of firm vanilla ice cream.
Add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of cold milk, gradually increasing the milk for a thinner consistency. Blend on low speed until just combined, then increase to high for a few seconds until smooth and creamy. Avoid over-blending, which can melt the ice cream too much.
For variations, consider a chocolate milkshake by adding cocoa powder or chocolate syrup, or a strawberry milkshake with fresh or frozen berries. A dash of vanilla extract enhances most flavors. Aim for a thick, rich texture that coats the back of a spoon.
