Resetting Your AirPods
Experiencing Bluetooth trouble or connection glitches with your AirPods? A factory reset can often resolve these issues, returning your earbuds to their original settings. This process is straightforward and applies to all AirPods models, including AirPods Pro, AirPods 2, and AirPods 3.
Steps to Factory Reset:
- Place AirPods in Case: Put both AirPods into their charging case and close the lid. Wait 30 seconds.
- Open Case & Connect: Open the lid of the charging case. On your iPhone or iPad, go to Bluetooth settings and tap the 'i' icon next to your AirPods. Select 'Forget This Device' and confirm. You may need to press and hold the setup button on the back of the case for about 15 seconds until the status light flashes amber, then white.
- Reconnect AirPods: Close the lid for 30 seconds, then open it. On your iPhone or iPad, follow the on-screen prompts to reconnect your AirPods.
This process effectively clears previous pairings and settings, providing a fresh start for your AirPods.
